This is to announce the passing away of my father, EMCM/SS Charles F. Kuenneke. He departed on his final "tour" Nov. 14, 2002. He started his naval career as a skimmer, serving on board a Gearing Class tin can. He then saw the light and joined the submarine force.

My father served on the diesel boats Clamagore and Bergall, and the nukes Sturgeon and Sandlance. When on shore duty, my father pushed boots not once but twice in Orlando, FL. He is survived be his mother, Martha Kuenneke and two sons: IT1/SS George Kuenneke and Christopher Kuenneke. Fair Winds and Following Seas!
