Sorry, it's taken a bit to let you know...she had her final treatment a week ago Thurs. and things look good, so far.  She doesn't have to go back to oncologist for three months and will probably have to do that for a bit.

She wanted me to let all of you know, how much she appreciated all the cards, prayers and good thoughts for her.  I just told her that submarine sailors have the ear of the Good Lord and that He heard all of your prayers.

Thank you again, Dear Friends.

Patty, Anytime a lady beats that insidious desease, itshould be a time of great family celebration. Please convey my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for a comple "cancer free" recovery. I've been told that when you get the kind of prognosis your Mother got...The colors in flowers you see are far brighter, bird songs more melodious, stars shine far clearer and the smell of roses far sweeter than before you were originally diagnosed....I truly hope that is the case. Patti....Have Gary grab a big armload of your and give you a big hug from me....Can I get a permission slip from Gary for me collect a Holland Club kiss from you in Norfolk during the 2912 SubVets Shindig and Fishfry.....and the John Holland Flying Monkey Breakfast....Seriously, the news about your Mother puts butterflies in my heart. Patti, you will have to explain this to your Mom, but tell her that a great big Bravo Zulu comes from a "Swine of the highest Order"

Nope, don't have to explain it, John...she understands just how "silly" Sub sailors get when they are gathering together for good fun.

BTW, aren't the "Swine" due for another meeting???  How I wish we could all get together again...not under the previous circumstances,
but none the less to "celebrate" the friendships that have been made...

Thank you!

Dex, as I said the other day...you will have that PERMISSION in writing from the "Duke of Bumps"...and I hope we don't have to wait until 2012!!!
