It does not seem like 8 years have gone by. I can still remember seeing the broadcast live that morning. I'll never forget that image. I've seen numerous documentories but seeing it that day was simply unbelivable.

Ahhhh yes.... I was having breakfast at a Holiday Inn in Chicago watching it live on TV. Couldn't believe it.

I was driving across the 14th St bridge, listening to the radio, wondering what caused that huge ball of smoke and fire that I was seeing in my rear view mirror. WHen I got to the Navy Yard, I was turned around as they were in the process of shutting it down.

I headed back towards my office in Crystal City only to encounter total chaos as everyone was shutting down and the streets were overloaded, and the panic by the police that there was another plane inbound which turned out to be a plane destined for Reagan National Airport, though at that point every plane was suspect.
