Wise, Hollis H., 91, died peacefully at C.C. Young Retirement Center on August 25, 2009. Hollis was born on October 28, 1917 in Allegan, MI. He graduated from Lawrence Tech with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He served in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service during WW II. He was Regional V.P. of Worthington Corp. for 30 years. He was a Chartered Life Underwriter with MONY for over 25 years and received numerous Million Dollar Roundtable awards. Hollis was involved in a variety of volunteer services including Meals on Wheels, AARP Chapter President, VNA Hospice, Travis School Child Tutor Program, Barbara Bush Literacy Program, Residence Council of C.C. Young Center, Suicide Prevention of Dallas, Rotary International Member, Prison Counseling for Restorative Justice and Longtime member of FUMC of Dallas. Hollis is survived by his loving wife Adyllis of 65 years, Children Phillip Wise and wife Cathy, Holly Eyler and husband Charles and Stephen Wise; Grandchildren Heidi Moyer and husband Bob, Heather Wise, Andy Eyler,Susan Wise and Katy Wise; Great Grandchildren Haley, Rangeley and Keyley Moyer. Celebration of Hollis's life will be held at 10:30 a. m. on Saturday, August 29, 2009 in the chapel of FUMC of Dallas, 1928 Ross Avenue, 75201. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to C.C. Young Retirement Center or FUMC of Dallas.
