At random: Traditionally, United States submarines have been named after fish and other marine creatures. One exception was the Navy's first submarine HOLLAND which was named after its inventor, John Philip Holland. Today, ballistic missile submarines are named for famous American patriots, with the newest class, the OHIO class, named after states. The LOS ANGELES class of attack submarines are named for United States cities. The nations news class of submarine, the Virginia class, is also named for US States, making them the capital ships of the navy. |

Not that I really have any but I happened to be talking to a young guy who was doing a dirty little job at the marina the other day scrubbing bird poop off of the hand railings that visitors lean on to see the views. I commented that he had "the sh*tty little job detail" that morning. A few comments later I said; "There are no unimportant jobs. If someone is willing to pay you to do it, so long as it isn't illegal or immoral it is an important job" Now I'm not sure that is all that profound but I got to thinking, if you had only ONE piece of advice to give to someone else what would it be? So, give me yours. Remember you can only do one piece of advice. This would be the only bit of knowledge you would ever be able to transmit to anyone.

Plankowner Posts: 9165 Location: Upper lefthand corner of the map. | Subject: RE: Sage advice...? Go to your local grocery store or farmers market and get 8 to 12 ,(depending on size) rhubarb stalks. Take them home.(Ya gotta tell them everything). Wash , De vane, (ya know like celery) and cut into 1/2 inch slices. Chill in 'fridge overnight, (this is to bring out some juices) Make or buy pie crusts or shells. In a large place rhubarb and juice. Add 1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar slowly and mix into rhubarb slices. Also add about 3 heaping tablespoons of flour slowly and mix. Preheat oven to 450. Add rhubarb to pie crust and cover with another or lattice the top. Bake at 450 for 15 minutes and then lower temp to 350 and bake until done. about 25 to 35 minutes. Cool in 'fridge and then eat, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT add anything else to pie.
