at Celtic Festivals. I saw a guy with gold dolphins on his ballcap while we were performing so after we finished our concert I walked over and introduced myself to him. Turns out he was the Engineer on the Will Rogers (1975) and later the Von Steuben.
His name is Mike Ballard and I tried recruiting him into Escolar Base. He told me he would look into it and we know submarine sailor never lie; especially officers.
We had a good talk; seems like a nice guy.
