At random: Interests in submarines extends to royalty and presidents. The King of England and the King and Queen of Spain are among those who have made submerged cruises in submarines. As a result of a trip in an early United States submarine, President "Teddy" Roosevelt ordered extra compensation for personnel serving in the "Silent Service." President Harry Truman made a 440 foot dive in a captured German submarine. The first President to cruise aboard a nuclear submarine was President Eisenhower who rode the USS SEAWOLF out of Newport, Rhode Island on September 26, 1957.
How come.....

... you have 27 pens that won't write so you buy a new one and the only ones you can find after that are the 27 pens that won't write?

Probably becuase you didn't throw the 27 worthless pens away! Why are you keeping them? About as useful as a used flashbulb!

Actually I considered using "used match" but I thought most everyone on this BBS with only a few exceptions would know what a flashbulb is!!! LOL......
You can still buy them, but they aren't cheap!!!!!!!!!!

Used flashbulbs are useful.....Ya glue them to some other usless item and now it becomes art.

Here's one remember the flach cube? Man was that a marvel in it's day.

And did you hear Kodak is no longer making Kodachrome film? I guess I should upgrade to a good digital camera soon.

Rick, have you tried the 4 colored pens made by bic? I find the black is used up first followed by the blue then the red then the green. But by the time the blue runs out I've usually bought a new pen, but sure enough, I always pick up the one that only has one or two colors left and can't find the new one.

Take Care,
Steve
