At random: The first submarine which actually sank another enemy vessel under combat conditions was the CSS HUNLEY built during the Civil War. The Union frigate HOUSATONIC on blockade station off Charleston, S. C. was the victim. The incident occurred on February 17, 1864.

Subject: Diesel Fuel

Yesterday I had to go to the Navy Exchange. I had just left the Fitness Center and had taken a shower so, I figured I would cut through the area where they have all this foo-foo juice on display and spray myself down with one of the free samples. While checking out the available choices, I came across this bottle with a rag around it labeled "Diesel Fuel" so I spritzed myself down expecting to smell like I did back in the day. Instead smelled like I'd just gotten the "special" at the Samuri down in Subic. I also got sticker shock when I checked the price--- $40 for 75ml. I think I'll stick with Aqua Velva, at least I can afford to spill a little.
