At random: "Submariners are a special brotherhood, either all come to the surface or no one does. On a submarine, the phrase all for one and one for all is not just a slogan, but reality.” -- VADM Rudolf Golosov of the Russian Navy

Young ladies and sailors

In the lunch room yesterday some of the 20 something gals were talking about going to NY City for the weekend because of "Fleet Week".

I pretended ignorance and asked what the big attraction was and they told me "SAILORS".

Young ladies looking fior sailors on shore leave.

Some things are just an American institution.

Hey Ric, with these young girls today they're interested in almost anything. Know what I mean, Vern?
Then again......that young lass, in Springfield, did come to Blue and I managed to get a lip lock from her also. And you are going to say the Olgoat put her up to it. Have you noticed Olgoat's age? He's hovering around that age of dirt..don't cha know.

Boy Ric sure does know how to toss a bucket of ice water on the raging fires of old coot fantasy...There I was with my Greyhound round-trip ticket to Manhattan...My size 52 Seafarers...stencilled raghat...a pack of Camels tucked in my sock...Zippo with the insignia pf the Orion on it tucked in my watch pocket and $150 in cash folded in my sock and two Trojans in my ID and Liberty Card case....I was hopping and popping...No, at my age I was leaning and weaving, BUT very enthusiastically Leaning and Weaving....Then Ric posts and I was hit by the lightning bolt of stark reality and my fantasies all shrivelled up and died...POOF gone. Meg Ryan pulled up her panties and went home....Candace Bergen took her motel key back....and Ray came and rounded up his sheep and put the aluminum bloomers back on the yakk....Fleet Week...Ric, That have anything to do with those disposable enemas? I did mention I was a sailor.

They giggled, patted me on the head, and wiped the drool from my chin with my bib.

Well, the membership of Hudson Valley Base and their spouses will be attending "Fleet Week" festivities tomorrow...and on my own behalf, as a member of the female of the human species, I shall partake in
"ogling" the younger members of the male species in their pretty whites...I may be married...
BUT I AIN'T DEAD...see attached!!!
