At random: The USS SKATE (SSN 578) was the first vessel ever to surface at the North Pole, when on March 17, 1959 she surfaced there to conduct memorial services for the renowned Arctic explorer Sir Hubert Wilkins.

We thought we had the start of spring going here last week but now winter is back it seems. Lots of rain and cold. The prediction is for up to 8 inches of snow in the passes over night. I'm ready for summer.

What can we say except that you aren't living right. We are in to the 80's during the day and still comfortable at night in the 60's. Nothing can be finer than to be Carolina !!!! Got a new slew of baby ducks(goslings) in the pond out back. Got a 3' gator in there also and he's been licking his chops.

Ralph: I heard you're in the 80's 24/7 or did you mean temperature?
FYI; Goslings are Geese; Ducklings are Ducks
What else can I ping on you about?
Have to think about that but when "I thinks; I falls asleep" (old cajun saying)

Yeah Doc, ya got me. Fingers ahead of the brain this morning. Another one of those 0300 wake ups today. We got geese too. The gator doesn't seem to bother them. He's gotten beat up too many times. Geese can be mean when they want to be.
As for the 80's age...not there yet, but, it seems to get closer every day. Know what I mean, Vern?
