REILLY, James Michael, 93, of Forks Township, PA passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009 in Warren Hospital. Born on June 11, 1915 in Easton, he was the son of the late James and Katherine Carney Reilly. Jim was a 1933 graduate of Easton High School where he played football. He also attended Penn State University and the University of Maryland. He served with the Navy on the submarine USS Atule (SS-403) in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. Jim worked for the Lehigh Valley Railroad/Conrail for 40 years retiring as General Chairman of the Lehigh Valley System. Jim enjoyed collecting steins. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, formerly St. Bernards. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus, Christmas Valley Beamers, Lehigh Valley Railroad Veterans Association, Submarine Veterans of World War II, US Submarine Veterans Holland Club; Citizen Hose Company, Carousel Horse Club, a charter member of Budweiser Stein Club and a life member of the Order of Fleas and Liberty Hose Company. His wife, the former Lois Jean Bright, died September 29, 2003. Survived by son, Michael J. of Allentown; sister, Eileen Caflin of New Bern, NC; and grandson Scott M. (Kimberly) of Brooklyn, NY. Services: 9:30am Thursday from the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton St., Easton followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Bernards Oratory, 132 S. Fifth St., Easton. Call Wednesday evening 6-8pm in the funeral home. Interment will be private. Memorials: may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 132 S. Fifth St., Easton, PA 18042
