DONALSON, James Allen, 63, lifetime resident of Houston, joined his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 21, 2009. Born January 3, 1946 in San Marcos, Texas, Jimmy was the second son of Edward and Anne Marie Donalson. After attending Sam Houston State University, Jimmy served in the US Navy from 1966-1970. He was Petty Officer First Class and served on a submarine in the Arctic and was a Navy Recruiter in Huntsville, TX. He subsequently was a real estate agent for many years. In 1996, Jimmy moved to Houston to take care of his mother full time. He cared for her until her death in 2004. Jimmy enjoyed fishing, writing poetry, gardening, studying and reading the Bible, and visiting with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jimmy is survived by two brothers, Norman R. Donalson and Edward E. Donalson, both of Houston, Charles D. Donalson of Houston, and Jane B. Simpson of LaPorte. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 25, followed by a funeral service at Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home, 9926 Jones Road in Houston, TX. Interment will follow at DaVilla Cemetery in DaVilla, TX.

DALEY, Jr., John V., 72, a retired Boston Policeman, died on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at the South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth. Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in Dorchester, graduating from Dorchester High School in 1954 and had lived in Weymouth since 1973. He had served as a submariner in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Blenny (SS-324). Jack was a member of the Boston Police Patrolmans Assoc., the Weymouth Elks and Eagles and the Emerald Society of the Boston Police. Husband of the late Barbara A. (Foley) Daley. Father of John M. Daley (Susan) of So. Boston, Brian J . Daley (Julie) of Whitman and Daniel Daley (Lisa) of Weymouth. Brother of Leo of Weymouth, Paul of Brockton, Barbara Cullinan of Weymouth and the late William Daley. Grandfather of Olivia, Emma, Nolan and Jack. Funeral from the NORTH WEYMOUTH McDonald Funeral Home at 40 Sea St., (off Rte 3A at Bicknell Sq), Monday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow in the St. Francis Xavier Church, South Weymouth, at 10:00 AM and burial with military honors in the Veterans National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:30 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday evening 4:00-8:00 PM.
