The company that owns the ship tried to stop the rescue of the captain. They wanted to pay the ransom which would only lead to more seizures of ships!!! |

The company does not pay the ransom, their insurance company pays. Until the insurance companies want to deal with the pirates, nothing will happen.
The insurance companies used to pay for ships that came apart at sea due to lack of maintenance until it got too expensive. Then the insurance companies actual started inspecting ships before they went to sea. Once the ship owners found that they had to maintain there ships, sinkings slowed down. Same thing will happen with the pirate situation. |

Hallalua! What an Easter present for Capt. Phillips and his family, and for the US ofA!!!!
Now we have two great heros to celebrate.. The pilot of the airplane that landed in the Hudson, and now the Capt of a merchant ship that traded his self for his crew. If these brave men were in the military, they would deserve the MOH. I sincerely hope that Pras. Oboma recognizes them both with the highest award that can be bestowed on a civilian.
HOORAAA NAVY SEALS.

Our paster (and I'm certain, hundreds of others) prayed for the safe release of Captain Phillips this morning. Then, I tune into the BBS and learn that he's been rescued. It could have ended so differently, but thank God that it didn't. Now, we need to hone in on the rescue of the many others that have been kidnapped by these pirates.

Now to take the dead bodies of the worthless scum pirates, wrap them in pig skins, and bury them face down with their feet pointing toward Mecca, Then cover them in 10 tons of concrete to ensure they won't be dug up. AND SHOW IT ON WORLDWIDE TELEVISION! But I guess I'm getting soft in my old age, and wish I could articulate how I really feel

A hand salute to the Navy SEALS that did an outstanding feat.
If the Navy had listened to us a couple of days ago........... Hey, wait a minute....... maybe they did listen to us. |

First, thank God the good guys won and the Captain is safe.
This morning I was really angry because the jerks on the news and the NYT were saying how the US Navy was not properly prepared for this kind of situation.
They kept harping on "too many big ships, submarines, jet fighters, blah, blah, blah."
Well, I see now that the MSM was wrong-again.
