NERVO, Rudy, 81, passed away January 24, 2009. Born in Akron, Ohio on June 7, 1927, he lived most of his life in Tallmadge. He retired from Toth Buick as the Body Shop Manager, and worked for Dave Towell Cadillac. After retiring, he worked part time as a chauffer for the Goodyear Service Center. He served in the Navy during World War II as a submarine torpedoman. Rudy enjoyed racing Quarter Midgets with his son, Scott, and riding his motorcycle in his younger years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Adella Nervo; brothers, John, Pete, Steve, Albert, Angelo, Louis, Joseph and Nick Nervo; also sister, Mary. He is survived by his wife, Nadine (Shepard) Nervo; son, Scott Nervo of Akron; stepson, Buddy Shepard (Pat) of Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters, Millie "Della" and Elizabeth "Betty" of Akron; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; favorite aunt, Mil and brother in law Paul Kedra. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at The Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave. (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle) with Fr. Mike Williamson officiating. Interment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
