Does anyone remember a James MacAllister? I understand he was an RM. He served a skimmer ( the Higbee I believe) then served on the Carp from 55-57?, the Pickerel from 57-58, shore duty from 58-60?, and the Hardhead from 60-62. He was active in various law enforcement Depts. The last being Klamath Falls PD or Sheriff Dept.
Anyway, he passed away on November 20, 2008. I recently found out about him because I work with one of his grandsons at the Warner Creek Correctional Facility in Lakeview, Oregon. His grandson, Steve Chancellor, is a good guy, even though he's a former skimmer. Steve has been taking care of Big Jim's affairs. A memorial to him can be found at http://www.sltpd.com/news.asp?=51.
To James MacAllister-Hand Salute!
