Skipjack never looked that shabby when I was leading seaman on her. What year and where was that taken? She must have just returned from one of those "infamous" northern runs.

The picture was taken in 1967 in Bermuda. That's Maynard G. Krebs, aka Marv Miller, holding down the Engine Room hatch. If you go to the Bill Phillips Collection on the Skipjack website you can see a bigger picture.
