LIVINGSTON, William Clyde, 91, Born in Goodwater, Alabama and a long time resident of Gulf Shores, Alabama passed away November 10, 2008 at the William F. Green Veterans Home of Bay Minette. He was married to Doris Estelle Livingston for 65 years. William retired from the US Navy after making 7 successful war patrols during World War II while in the units of the US Submarine Force, Pacific Fleet and was awarded the Submarine Combat Pin with 6 stars. After 22 years in the Navy he worked 15 years for General Dynamics in Groton, Connecticut then retiring and moving back to his beloved Alabama. He was a long time member of the American Legion Post 44 in Gulf Shores, Alabama. William was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond, John and Harold Livingston and his sisters, Wynell Rogers and Hazel Nelson. He is survived by his wife, Doris Livingston; son, Stanley Livingston; daughter in law, Linda Livingston; daughter, Sandra Livingston; brother, Calvin Livingston; grandchildren, Jessica Livingston, William Egbert, Jared Livingston; step grandchildren, Matthew, Christa, Andrew, and Aquila; sister in laws, Lenore Carter, Doris Livingston, Maxine Marlow, Dean Marlow and many other relatives and friends. Dad, thank you for all the wonderful memories and your never to be forgotten quotes. We will all miss you so much. We would like to thank all the wonderful caregivers from Mercy Medical and the wonderful staff at the William F. Green Veterans home. If you so desire in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mercy Medical Hospice. A "Celebration of Life" is planned at a later date.
