Is that the Sargo? My favorite officer served on her - He was LT. Vic Peters when he was weapons officer on the Pickerel. It seemed, he could trim the boat perfectly in the time it took me to tie my shoes. I heard he was a former enlisted man. I respected nobody in the Navy more than him just by the way he handled every situation that came up during my short time on board.

Navy shouldn't have closed Mare Island. The current backlog in overhauls would not exist. Even new construction of Virginia class might be possible - I roed a Polaris boat built in the left-hand side of those ways.
