| Subject: Lost seals, why?
As I remember, 8 seals were lost during the invasion of Grenada. Now 2 more. I cant believe that there is not an emergency location device that could be worn. Surely technology has invented a gps locator that could be triggered on demand.
Until I am educated otherwise, I see this as a senseless loss of life. |

I agree, total loss of good men. The thing I'm having a hard time with is the information that has come out. The only thing I heard was that one, as he was scaling the ship, slipped and fell back in the water. Then his team mate jump into the water to help. Now maybe I've missed some reporting but that is all I've heard. These men were SEALs for goodness sake. They were not life guards at the neighborhood pool. They swim and know water like they were born in it. I want more information!! Something tells me this was a botched job and no one wants the incompetence to come out or we are just being lied to because "we can't handle it." |

As I understand the situation, it was the other Seals duty to jump in to assist his shipmate when he fell.
But that does not explain how they both perished.
