Subject: Sunday's song

Gram Parsons was an extremely talented singer, songwriter, guitarist, and pianist, with an extreme addiction to drugs and alcohol. He founded the International Submarine Band, Flying Burrito Brothers Band, and was a member of the Byrds. Nothing lasted because he could  not make the auditions or shows due to addictions. He went to Europe, spent some time with Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones. Coming back Emmy Lou Harris assisted him with his first album, and they recorded quite a few songs. Gram is credited by many pundits of being the founder of country rock, and cosmic music. He was not allowed on the stage of the Grand Old Opery because Bill Monroe, Hank Snow, and Earnest Tubb were not having some pot smoking hippie on their stage. He died at age 26 due to overdose of drugs and alcohol.  His body was stolen by his friends, taken to Death Valley, a cremation was botched, and he is interned in Louisiana ( to be contd.
