MILLER, Timothy Jon, 77 of Farmington, NM, passed away on January 13, 2019 in Farmington, NM. Timothy was born July 31, 1941 in Pasadena, CA. He served in the United States Navy as a Submariner. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m., location pending. Timothy's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. BELL, Glen, 87, retired Burbank Chief of Police, passed away on Jan. 10. 2019. He leaves behind his beloved wife of nearly 30 years, Marcia Marie Miracle Bell, of Arroyo Grande, CA. Glen is also survived by son Darren Bell, daughter Kelly Bell Hester, son-in-law Rob Hester, granddaughter Erin Hester, and grandson Evan Hester.Glen was born on December 14, 1931, in Rugby, Texas, to parents George Grant Bell and Allie Lucille Bell. His family moved from Texas to Burbank, California when he was in the second grade. Glen attended Burbank schools and graduated from Burbank High School in 1950. Glen proudly served 4 years in the United States Navy during the Korean War on various submarines. He also attended college at San Jose State University, and later received his Master's Degree from California State University Los Angeles. Glen joined the Burbank Police Department in 1955, where he served as a patrol office, motor officer, detective, sergeant, lieutenant, captain, and spent his last eight years on the department as the chief. He retired in December 1990 after more than 30 years of service. After he retired, Glen and Marcia moved to Big Bear Lake, where they lived for nine happy years. They then followed their love of the ocean and relocated to Arroyo Grande, CA in 2000. Glen thoroughly enjoyed retirement, especially riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, driving his hot rod, and playing his trumpet in the Alan Hancock College Concert Band and the local County Band. He will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, brother-in-law, and uncle.A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, January 28, at 11 a.m. at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Arroyo Grande. DAY, Richard A., 85, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Clemson Downs. Born February 5, 1933 in Canaan, CT, he was a son of the late Luther W. and Raymonde L. Day. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Norman R. Day. Richard graduated from Paul Smith's College. He proudly served in the submarine service of the United States Navy. He was a retired Captain from the Connecticut State Police, had worked for McCoy Construction in Myrtle Beach, SC, and as a private detective and hypnotist with a private practice in Myrtle Beach, SC. Richard is survived by his wife, Sally H. Day; son, Mark A. Day; daughters, Kathi L. Heater (William) and LuAnne D. Hamilton (David); nine grandchildren, Brendan (Erin), Jenny (Dennis), Devin, Cullen, Clay, Joshua (Michelle), Jacob (Amy), Jordan (Lynette), and Faith and nine great-grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor, Timothy, Austin, Allyn, Reagan, Bennett, Jack, and Paige. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2019 at Sherman Congregational Church in Sherman, CT. Interment will be in Coburn Cemetery, Sherman, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 4124 Clemson Blvd, Suite L, Anderson SC, 29621; or to Providence Hospice, 202 Wall Street, Piedmont, SC 29673.
