3-17-1959 USS Skate (SSN 578) surfaces at the North Pole.

Atlantic 03/18/68: The USS Theodore Roosevelt (SSBN-600) runs aground while submerged off the coast of Scotland. There were no injuries, but the bow of the submarine is damaged.
