A change of pace perhaps. Tomorrow morning at this time, in NYC, the wife and I will be embarking on a cruise to the Bahamas. It'll be our first cruise since the USSVI cruise to Alaska, which we enjoyed very much. Not too many people on that boat. But this one will have more humans on it than a new CVN. Not sure how I'll enjoy the crowds, but I'm going for the food, period. The hell with Bermuda I'm staying on board and eating.
See yuz again on Memorial Day Weekend.

Enjoy the cruise - I have been on two; a big ship with thousands and our USSVI "right size" ship to Alaska.
I preferred the Holland America ship to Alaska - more like an ocean liner then a floating hotel.
And yes, the food is plentiful.
I believe when you dock back in NYC, the fleet will be in for Memorial Day (aka: fleet week)

I can still recall my cruises on the Grey Funnel and Black Fin Lines. Quite a select group of travellers however. |

Just ignore that scale in the bathroom, they are known to lie occasionally. For Mother's Day I took the family to the Inn at Virginia Tech and tried to eat my way through the brunch. Ouch, did I feel full for the rest of the day. Plus I don't think I came any where near eating my money's worth. |

Have a wonderful food adventure.
Does the Inn at Va Tech neighbor the golf course, if so I saw it and even went inside for 19th hole refreshments?

I believe so, it is the in the Conference Center located to the North, I think, of the course. I had enough shrimp, crab legs, oysters, sirloin and hard rolls to last me for another week. You know some of those folks ate omelets. |

We took two river cruises with GCT a few years ago. Traveled the Rhine, Mosel and the Danube, and visited Vienna and Amsterdam. No road trip though. Great trips great food. We like the river cruises the best.
We'd like to try Viking on our next trip.
