In 1961, the Seadragon ops gang was tasked with painting the attack center during the 1600-2400 period.

Of course we turned up the radio (KAHU in Waipahu?). The big song of the month was the Marcels " Blue Moon ".

Enjoy!

The rock and roll station in Oahu in 67-68 was KPOI.  I remember December 31, 1967, laying topside at Pearl listening to all the top 100 songs for the year - I believe if CRS hasn't fogged it the number one song was Satisfaction.  We were topside because most senior crew members were country music guys and they had ultimate control of the radio in the AB.  I Never knew the country music station in Oahu.
