The above link goes to the USSVI (United States Submarine Veterans, Inc.) Facebook page where their members who have gone on “Eternal Patrol” are noted.

I’ll keep my work here going, trying to get others who were not USSVI members. You’re encouraged to look there as well as here! Obviously, there’ll be some I miss and some I duplicate.

FISHER .. .. .. Kevin Michael Fisher, 48, of Ledyard, passed away peacefully in his sleep July 13, 2025. He is survived by his beloved wife, Christine Elizabeth Miller, of Ledyard. He was born Sept. 7, 1976, in Biddeford, Maine to Arthur and Sandra Fisher of Lawndale, N.C.

He spent most of his younger years living in Massachusetts and is a 1994 graduate of Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High School. After graduation, he moved to North Carolina, where he spent several years as an EMT/paramedic before joining the U.S. Navy Oct. 30, 1997. He spent 20 years as both a sonar technician and an IT specialist on submarines. He retired Oct. 31, 2017.

During his retirement, Kevin married his adoring wife, Christine, Aug. 17, 2019.

He was passionate about helping fellow veterans and did so on both a personal level, and spent a couple of years as a VA peer specialist.

Kevin was known for being an animal lover. He and his wife adopted several senior dogs and also successfully fostered several other dogs. While all of his pets held a special place in his heart, his young, Jug dogs, Maddox and Dahlia, had him wrapped around their little paws.

Kevin was a life-long learner whose interests included political science, military history and physics. Kevin was also working closely with a high school teacher in the development of a digital society curriculum.

Kevin liked to be active and was often seen walking around his neighborhood, and he always had time to stop and talk to any neighbor he encountered. He also enjoyed visiting with friends, working on and riding his Harley Davidson, reading and cooking special meals. Additionally, he was a supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

In addition to his wife and parents, Kevin is survived by his sisters, Nina Daniels and Shannon Richards; as well as several nieces and nephews; four cats and three dogs.
