It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William "Bill" Pigott on November 24, 2025, at the age of 61. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathleen; four children, Stephanie (John), Zachary (Angela), Emily (Ken) and Anna (Dehl); along with his two adored grandchildren, Juliet and Harrison. After graduating from Morrisville High School in 1982, Bill enlisted in the United States Navy and entered the Navy's nuclear power program. He was assigned to his first nuclear submarine in 1984 and married the love of his life, Kate, in June 1985. Together, they raised four wonderful children and many cherished dogs. Throughout his naval career, Bill was deployed all over the world, giving him an opportunity to visit many different countries and cultures. In 1992 he was stationed in Honolulu, Hawai'i, deciding to make it his permanent home when he retired from the Navy in 2004; pursuing a career at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard as a Nuclear Engineer. Bill was an expert scuba diver and an extremely talented guitar player. He found peace and solace in the ocean and his music. He possessed a brilliant mind, charming wit and although he was a man of few words, he had a heart overflowing with love and devotion for his family. Bill was a shining light in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family and friends. Just because he is gone, doesn't mean he is gone from the lives of those who knew and loved him dearly. He will forever be in our hearts and minds. BEATON .. .. .. Allen M. Jim was born on December 12, 1930, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Mary Jane Anderson Cannon and James G. Cannon. In 1956, Jim married childhood sweetheart, Jeanette "Jan" Miller. Jim and Jan had known each other since the age of six. Jim served in the U.S. Navy as a Radioman 2nd Class from 1951 to 1955 aboard the USS Crevalle submarine. After serving his country, Jim attended the University of Pittsburgh and Duquesne University. He went on to work as a structural engineer for Safway Steel Scaffolds Company for approximately 35 years. He later became part-owner of the company. Jim enjoyed spending time with his children. The children share fond memories of sled riding with Jim in South Park and popping popcorn in the fireplace in their childhood home. An active member of his community and church, Jim was a member of the Bethel Park Jaycees, the St. Louise de Marillac Old Boys Club, and was a catechist at St. Louise de Marillac for CCD students. He and his wife led their children to Jesus Christ in the Catholic Church. He was a devout Catholic and follower of our Lord. Later in life, Jim enjoyed traveling, specifically to Marco Island, with Jan, brother Don, and sister-in-law Yvonne. He was a Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan and would travel with Jan and friends to away games for the Pitt Panthers. He never missed the annual Army vs. Navy game ("Go Navy, Beat Army!"). Jim was a skilled and enthusiastic tennis player, an avid reader of books on his Kindle, and a devoted gardener who found joy in tending to his flower beds and tomato plants. He enjoyed quiet afternoons listening to music and Pirate games on his patio, with a plate of cheese and crackers, and a glass of iced tea in hand. He delighted in challenging his grandchildren to a game of chess and spending time with his loved ones. Jim always had a song in his heart and was never afraid to sing when the moment felt right. He shared his singing talent with the St. Louise de Marillac choir. Family and friends will dearly miss Jim, but we take comfort in knowing that he and his cherished wife have reunited in Heaven. As he would often say, "see you later alligator." Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Donald Cannon, and his beloved wife of 57 years, Jeanette Miller Cannon. He is survived by his five children: Carol Horvatin, James (Lisa) Cannon, Paul Cannon, Jeffry (Lisa) Cannon, and David (Cheryl) Cannon. He leaves behind ten grandchildren: Justin Horvatin, Brynne (Zach) Shue, Alexandra Cannon, Kevin (Andrea) Cannon, Amy (Mark) Gordon, Colleen (Jordan) Rodgers, James (Kayla) Cannon, Daniel (Mackenzie) Cannon, Christopher Cannon, and Sarah Cannon.
