I am astounded with the absolute quiet on this forum. Cinco de Mayo and DD Day celebration is over. And total quiet. My goodness if the Ruskies were this quiiet it would have been a different ballgame. Are the days of "you know a boat sailor is alive is if he's bitchin"? Just saying. |

The "good old days" are long gone for BBS's I think. Everyone is on facebook, Twitter/X, instagram, etc. We could do a private facebook group instead - folks could post images easier for sure  I think I'll post a poll to gage interest. |

I have joined FB in the last 12 months to be in non- veteran groups.
Eventually, I have found several FB pages regarding submariners. 41 for Freedom; Submarine Missile Techs; Francis Scott Key (my boat)
One of the features I always read are the obits posted here. They are much more detailed then what I see on FB.
I remember a funeral director once telling me that obits are "history lessons"; many posted here are just that.
I know it is quiet here but I am not sure if I am ready to see it go away.
